Job Overview:

The Staff Accountant performs professional accounting and administrative work which assists in maintaining the Clinic’s accounting and budgeting functions and responsibilities. The Staff Accountant also exercises independent judgment and discretion in planning and carrying out the details of work procedures and methods, as well as examines, analyzes, and interprets accounting records to prepare financial statements, give advice, and/or evaluate statements prepared by others.

Duties:

  • Reconcile and analyzes general ledger accounts.
  • Review, reconcile, and maintain vendor statements.
  • Prepares and assists in submitting payroll when needed and providing support to payroll processes as needed.
  • Assists in implementing direct deposit reimbursements through payroll, maintain records, and create import for payroll and general ledger.
  • Prepares and reconciles employee benefit payable reconciliation to vendor statements (insurance, etc.).
  • Responsible for the timely processing of accounts payable invoices paying attention to detail to ensure invoice prices agree with purchase orders and correct general ledger coding is used.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts and document transactions.
  • Responsible for reconciling NextGen payments to cash deposits and posting of correcting entries to NextGen and reconciling items to accounting system.
  • Maintains professional affiliations and enhances professional growth and development through seminars, conferences, and community involvement.
  • Attains all agreed to goals and objectives within specified time frames, as part of the Clinic’s overall mission.
  • Responsibly follows the Clinic Exposure Control Plans/Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogens.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related degree.
  • 1-3 years professional accounting experience, prefer healthcare experience.
  • COVID Vaccine required for all new employees.
