STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Mengali Accountancy, a successful, progressive, values-driven accounting firm located in beautiful downtown Healdsburg, CA, provides accounting and tax services for many diverse, complex and dynamic companies. Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a highly motivated team player with 3+ years of accounting experience to process a variety of challenging tasks, primarily for multi-family and commercial real estate clients.

Responsibilities:

• Produce financial statements
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Process accounts payable transactions, wires and online bill payments
• Draft adjusting journal entries and develop supporting schedules and workpapers
• Process new vendor setups including W-9 compliance
• GL code invoices and credit card statements
• Manage annual 1099 run
• Process standard deposits
• Develop and cultivate professional client relationships

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
• Current Yardi experience a must
• 3+ years of recent accounting experience progressing in scope and responsibility
• Strong understanding of debits and credits
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, client service, leadership and PC skills including Outlook, Word & Excel software proficiency
• Detail-oriented and with the ability to juggle priorities, meet deadlines and develop excellent client relationships
• Real estate industry experience required
• Multi-entity experience preferred
