Savage is seeking an enthusiastic Staff Accountant to join its Financial Reporting team with reconciling, analyzing, and reporting financial transactions and performance. What you'll be doing:

• Work closely with Staff Accountants and Managers to ensure efficient and accurate financial reporting
• Reconcile and oversee critical general ledger accounts
• Acquire comprehensive knowledge of the Company’s entities and assist in basic general ledger accounting functions
• Assist in year-end financial audit by preparing and reviewing audit schedules and interacting with auditors
• Ensure integrity of financial systems by working closely with Director of Financial Systems and Information Solutions department to ensure accounting and reporting systems are maintained and functioning properly
• Participate in and help with monthly close process

What you need to be successful:

• Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting (MAcc or MBA a plus)
• CPA or CPA candidate a plus
• At least 1 year accounting experience
• Ability to step away from the details and see the big picture
• Able to complete assigned tasks with minimal direction
• Excellent computer skills (MS Office suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point)
• Oracle knowledge a plus
• Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles (US GAAP) and financial reporting statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
