Day ShiftDescription:
Maintains recommended standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner. Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment . Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, and equipment in an accurate and timely manner . Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous workflow, providing superior customer serviceLicensure/Certification/Registration : Central Service Processing Technician Certification or obtained within 6 months of hire if lacking at time of hire (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management-IAHCSMM Certification for CRCST) , OR Surgical Technologist Certification (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting-NBSTSA Certification for CST).
Education: High School graduate or GED, and Graduate of a Central Service Processing program OR prior experience as a Central Service Tech/ OR Assistant or completion of a Surgical Tech program.
C: Experience: At least 6 months of employment in an operating room setting as a Processing Tech or Surgical Tech is preferred.
