Stockroom Assistant, Chemistry & Biochemistry Job at Oberlin
The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry invites applications for Stockroom Assistants for the 2022-23 academic year. Majoring or planning to major in chemistry or biochemistry is preferred, but not required. Chemistry & Biochemistry Stockroom Assistants will get the opportunity to develop their understanding of the materials at hand, gain further knowledge of topics that they previously learned, develop a professional relationship with new students, and develop their skills as educators.
Responsibilities
1-4 hour/week commitment. Responsibilities include: • Assisting in the organization and operation of department stockroom; • Assisting in the setup and support of the teaching labs; • Handling chemicals and sample preparation; • Cleaning and maintaining chemical glassware; • Other related duties.
Qualifications
In order to be considered, applicants must have earned a passing grade in CHEM 102 or CHEM 103.
Compensation
Minimum $10.10/hr. depending on prior stockroom experience.
