Stockroom Clerk Job at Eaton

Eaton’s Aerospace sector is currently seeking a Stockroom Clerk to join our team. This position is based at our Camarillo, CA site. This position is offering a competitive range of $18 - $20 for qualified candidates.


Primary Function:

  • Counts, stores and issues parts, materials, and supplies.
  • Check materials and stock for the purpose of keeping relevant records
  • Lifts and arranges stock and inventory
  • Verifies documentation against physical stock and inventory counts
  • Will assist with shipping and receiving department as needed
  • Receives into stockroom items from receiving inspection
  • Logs items received, by part number into computer system
  • Accepts materials from receiving inspection and checks against paperwork validating quantity, part number and description and/or arranges for storing of received material in a neat and orderly arrangement onto shelves, racks or specified floor locations
  • Maintains computerized inventory records and documents all discrepancies and helps with complex part research
  • Determine appropriate (locked, floor) location and stock in a means that limits damage and deterioration

Qualifications

Essential Functions:

  • Counts and moves parts, making put-aways and issues both physically and on the computer terminal.
  • Verifies quantities and documentation.
  • Utilizes hand counting and electronic scale methods
  • Performs basic SAP/material transactions
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Provide information, both written and verbal, concerning specific order status and workloads in assembly area
  • Occasionally provide coverage of other crib areas as required
  • Responsible for employee compliance to safety requirements on a daily basis
  • Supportive and active participation in continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Exhibit positive attitude and professional demeanor

Basic/Required Qualifications:

  • High School degree or equivalent
  • Must have minimum of 2 years of stockroom/materials experience
  • Have a basic understanding of computers and barcode scanning
  • Must work accurately with numbers
