Retail C-Store General Manager

Company: Holts Corner Market or Fairview Market

Location: Chapel Hill, Tennessee or Lewisburg, Tennessee

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred

Experience:

· 2-3 years as a C- Store / Gas Station Manager preferred

· 6-8 years as C- Store / Gas Stations business preferred

· 6-8 years in Retail operations or Food Service business with progressive job responsibilities

· Valid driver’s license

· Reliable transportation is required and maintenance of insurance as designated by state regulations.

Functional Skills Required:

· Customer Service Profit Generation

· Store Process Management Point Of Sales Terminals

· Inventory Control Creative Merchandising

· Organizational Methods Loss Prevention

· Sales Forecasting Cash Summary

· Receiving Report Ordering

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time

· Occasionally required to climb or balance on a ladder and/or stool, kneel or crouch when stocking and cleaning

· Must occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 128 pounds

Responsibilities:

· Overall responsibility for the management of the operations of the store to increase sales, achieve profitability, control cost, and provide excellent customer service

· Manage the daily business operations of the store by ensuring effective ordering, receiving, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service to achieve company goals

· Hire, manage, develop, motivate, train and grow employees to generate a strong team dynamic that allows them to perform to the best of their abilities.

· Ensure the store achieves the highest level of service measure (cost, quality and delivery) for every service provided

· Generate a culture of profitability within the employees, and put processes in place to ensure profitability and excellence in operations of the store

· Oversee merchandise levels and maintain standards for the store’s appearance

· Ensure full compliance to loss prevention policies and maintain floor awareness to minimize external shrinkage

· Receive Shift reports and approve Invoices. Process orders using data from the in-store processor and perform forecasting to boost sales

· Creative cost cutting measures while ensuring proper inventory levels, and replenishing stocks by timely ordering from the vendors

· Perform administrative tasks to help the store operate smoothly, increase productivity, profitability and customer service at any cost
