Store Trainer Job at King Kullen Grocery Co., Inc.
Job Summary:
In this full-time position, the Store Trainer will provide hands-on training to cashiers, bookkeepers and other employees throughout our 32 stores across Nassau and Suffolk counties.
The Store Trainer needs to be a results-oriented with the ability to think on their feet and change course as needed. Not only must this individual possess a high level of interpersonal skills, but also excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize their own workload.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct training for cashiers, bookkeepers, scanners, and receivers at all our King Kullen and Wild by Nature locations.
- Use various training methods to engage employees, including hands-on and interactive activities
- Implementation and rollout of store applications including POS, store process enhancements, and new procedures
- Adapt training style to accommodate the different learning styles
- Collaborate with store management as well as corporate executives to ensure training needs are met
- Communicate company policies and procedures
- Maintain training records
- Elicit feedback from store management and trainees to measure effectiveness of training curriculum
Qualifications:
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Willing to travel to all King Kullen and Wild by Nature locations
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize
- Retail cashier and bookkeeping Point-Of-Sale experience a plus
- Valid NYS Driver’s License
