Here's how

  • Strong consultative sales and account management experience in data-driven technology solutions including data collection strategies and program management
  • Drive business development efforts with prospective crop input manufacturers and their ecosystem partners
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of how transactional data flows between growers, channel partners, and manufacturers and precision ag companies and the challenges
  • Develop a deep understanding of our data and technology solutions
  • Ability to analyze a client's situation and recommend which products are the best fit and/or partner with product for enhancements and/or future roadmapping
  • Identify and qualify a continual pipeline of opportunities to align to our core capabilities
  • Document all steps of the sales process in Salesforce and adhere to sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes, including weekly funnel health checks and ongoing progress, wins, and losses
  • Deliver capabilities presentations, prepare and propose pricing, and negotiate contracts
  • Document client recaps and provide solution briefs to product
  • Directly manage high-profile customer relationships in the early stages of business development until account management is assigned to support with ongoing, day-to-day relationship management
  • Continue collaboration with Account Management post-customer acquisition as necessary
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Solution Architecture on complex sales opportunities
  • Develop opportunities in adjacent solution areas or with new combinations of solution capabilities and work with the Customer Solution Architecture team to vet strategic fit, doability and potential implementation risk
  • Use virtual and in-person meetings for funnel development

  • Capable of building and producing repeatable, scalable sales results
  • Bachelor's degree in business, agriculture, or another relevant field
  • 7+ years business development/sales/sales leadership experience
  • Experience in working with ag transactional sales data
  • Proficient with G-Suite and Microsoft Suite
  • Proficient with both a PC and Mac
  • Proficient with LinkedIn Navigator and Salesforce
