Stringer Assembly & Installer

Cruiser Yachts/Marine Max is the country's foremost manufacturer of premier fiberglass yachts. At the center of Cruisers Yachts you'll find heart. With our continued growth, we are looking to add motivated and hardworking Stringer Assemblers and Installers to our Pulaski Location. This position is responsible for assembling and installation of wood and foam stringers into fiberglass hulls.

This is a 1st Shift Stringer Assembly & Installer position, Monday-Friday 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Starting rate of pay is based on experience! We are willing to train!!!

What you will do as a Stringer Assembly & Installer:

• Prep hull by grinding work surfaces. This requires frequent bending and stooping to reach surface.
• Gather supplies needed to complete stringer job.
• Assemble and install stringers into hulls using various tools per blue print. Tab by applying small pieces of mat to various areas of hull.
• Remove jigs from hull. Place mat down to apply stringers.
• Applies resin and mat using a chopper gun to bond stringer system to hull bottom and roll out air using hand tools.
• Drill and place weep holes into hull.
• Grind all the stringers; apply paint and floor boards to work surface. Apply paint to surfaces that are required to be painted.
• Have inspector inspect area that was met.
• Adjust work area that does not met inspection.
• Pulls completed hull from mold and set on appropriate shop cart
• Prepare by sanding and taping off the exterior hull bottom; primer surface; 2 layers of bottom paint applied.

What you need to have:

• Familiarity with Hand/power tools, Assembly fixtures, Lamination equipment such as gel guns, choppers guns, foam spraying equipment & glue guns is preferred
• Ability to read and understand blue prints
• Good organizational skills and work independently as well as with a team
• Great attention to detail
• Ability to adjust to change and stay focused

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
