Summary of Job Duties:
The ARPA Student Assistant is responsible for performing tasks directly related to the unboxing and installation of computers and monitors. This position reports to the Manager, Customer Support.

Qualifications:
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • (45%) Unbox and tag new Dell computers and monitors. This occurs as needed.
  • (45%) Remove current computers and monitors; install new computer and monitors for student labs, faculty and staff. This occurs as needed.
  • (10%) Prepare CPUs and monitors for state surplus. This involves but is not limited to removing hard drives, tagging and placing computers and monitors on pallets. This occurs as needed.
Other Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Other duties as assigned.
Responsible for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to foster teamwork and by providing leadership to subordinates. Requires consistent on-time attendance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
To perform the job successfully, the following competencies are required for the essential functions of this position:
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of computer system repair requirements.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10.
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
