Description

Under the direction of the Admissions Coordinator, provide administrative and business support. Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide high-level administrative assistance for all administrative procedures, tasks, and activities associated with the Office of Student Admissions.
  • Serve as a source of support and information for visitors for routine questions and inquiries. When appropriate, refer or direct calls and correspondence to appropriate parties.
  • With knowledge of university and federal guidelines, assist in completing and routing personnel, accounting and financial paperwork.
  • Assist in handling applications and all documents involved in a student’s medical school application. Assist Admissions Coordinator with admissions committee meetings, visitor meetings related to Pre-medical student tours.
  • Prepare committee meeting notes and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Maintain an inventory of supplies.
  • Compose and edit substantive correspondence and other training related materials.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as deemed necessary by the Admissions Coordinator in support of the Office of Student Admissions and serve as backup, when needed, for other administrative staff.
Qualifications
  • Be a full-time student at an accredited university, college or high school
  • Be available up to 20 hours during the school semester; up to 40 hours during summer and holiday break
  • Familiar with MS Office
