Licensed Mental Health Therapist
Position Overview:
While providing individual, group, and family therapy, participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning by developing assessments and appropriate mode of therapy to assist clients with substance abuse and mental health issues.
Job Functions:
● Provide high quality, compassionate, and ethical counseling to clients as scheduled in individual, group, and family therapy settings.
● Actively participate as a positive member of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
● Complete treatment plan for each client in caseload and regularly update based on client progress.
● Complete clinical assessments and documentation as necessary, including but not limited to, treatment plans, biopsychosocial assessments, concurrent reviews, discharge plans, etc.
● Responsible for scheduling individual appointments as directed by the supervisor.
● Minimal supervision regarding use of time.
● Complete accurate clinical documentation same day as date of service.
● Maintain good standing with the appropriate board and insurance entities.
● Complete all recommended continuing education requirements.
● Stay current with updated research and best practices.
● Be aware of community referral sources and refer when necessary.
● Secure client information per HIPAA standards.
● Provides in-service training as needed.
Qualification Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ● Masters Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling or related field, from an accredited college or university.
● Licensed in the State of Oregon as a LPC, LCSW, QMHP, or equivalent. Associate or intern level candidates may be considered, with sufficient experience.
● 2 to 3 years of experience working in the behavioral health substance abuse field is preferred.
● Strong computer skills required, experience with electronic medical records preferred.
● Ability to communicate effectively with clients, their loved ones and professionals.
● Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.
● Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
● Strong assessment skills.
● Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and analyze policies and procedures.
● Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
● Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Working knowledge of twelve step programs of recovery.
Salary based on credentials, education, and experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
