Summer Camp Counselor Job at YMCA of Catawba Valley
General Responsibilities
- Retaining a personal commitment to YMCA philosophy and the ability to implement values and education as role models.
- Assuring the health, safety, and welfare of the children in accordance with the YMCA of Catawba Valley YMCA policies and procedures.
- Record keeping: attendance, lesson plans, curriculum, equipment inventory.
- Facility cleanliness: bathrooms, cafeteria, gym, and other program area.
- Work effectively with all staff and supervisors.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with students and parents.
- Understanding and adhering to NC childcare regulations
Specific Requirements Must be a minimum of 18 with high school diploma or GED
- Positive and effective communication skills
- Willingness to attend leadership training and continued education
- CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogens
- Current TB test, criminal background test, and fingerprints
- BSAC Training
- YMCA Child Abuse TrainingEmployment Length:
- 1 - 3 months
