Description

Provides basic first aid and health care to all campers throughout the day and runs the camp office. Duties include communication with parents, ordering of weekly lunches with our caters, and following state guidelines. Great opportunity for Nursing/Health Administration students.

Essential Functions

· Supervises the office.

· Maintains accurate attendance logs for the season via PlayerSpace and Microsoft Excel.

· Basic First Aid and Medication care as needed and logged.

· Maintains waitlists and rosters for camp throughout the season (lunch and group rosters).

· Answers voicemails and emails in a timely manner.

· Adheres to program standards including safety and cleanliness standards.

· Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies.

· Cultivates positive relationships and maintains effective communication with parents, children, and staff. Models’ relationship-building skills in all interactions.

· Help parents as needed with the PlayerSpace app and any relate troubleshooting.

· Organize, order and handle lunch caterers and lunch rosters weekly.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

· Capable of sustaining energy for participation in a full day's worth of activities

Qualifications

· One year or more of college preferred.

· At least 18 years of age.

· First Aid, CPR, and AED for the Professional Rescuer certified or willing to do so.

· Previous experience working with school age children.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $130.00 - $150.00 per day

• Camp or Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
