Supervisor Admissions - E/N/W Job at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital
The Admissions Supervisor helps manage the admission/registration functions pertaining to Emergency Services, Outpatient (all Hospital facilities), and Inpatient Admissions. Provides training, support, and feedback to appropriate staff and satellites as needed.
High school diploma required, associate's Degree or Certificate of Specialization desirable.
Data processing experience beneficial; medical terminology recommended; one (1) to two (2) years of supervised training or study required. Minimum one (1) year experience in Admissions, Emergency Services, or other related hospital position preferred. Continuing education in insurance types, changes, rules and regulations, and supervision are recommended. Should possess managerial and communication skills; numerical ability; clerical accuracy; teaching/instructional skills, independent thinking/sound judgment, planning, and coordinating.
