Supervisor, Food Service - 10 Month Contract Job at Tulsa Tech

Note: The work schedule for this position is August – May of the school year, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Manage food service operations for designated location(s) within code guidelines of the City, County, State and Federal regulations in a professional manner that provides quality meals, safeguards the health of all customers, and projects the image of a customer-oriented organization.

Essential Functions

1. Customarily and regularly manage assigned food service personnel to maximize productivity, efficiency and the potential of the human assets of TTC, including: directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff compensation, promotion, and termination actions, and hiring as appropriate.

2. Communicate effectively with employees, internal customers, and external customers to maximize customer service, efficiency, and productivity.

3. Accurately account for all cash transactions, counting money exchanges, reporting sales, preparing bank deposits, and serving as cashier during designated food service periods,

4. Procure supplies needed for operation of the food service and maintain an accurate inventory with minimal waste. Inspect incoming food and supplies and assure proper storage.

5. Maintain accurate and timely records regarding food service operations and administrative documents regarding personnel management. Provide reporting as required.

6. Supervise and assist as necessary in food preparation in a manner that maintains standards of sanitation and safety in compliance with all health guidelines and assures food is attractively presented.

7. Supervise and assist as necessary in clean up of food preparation, service and serving areas as required to efficiently maintain a healthy and attractive environment.

8. Coordinate administrative details, food preparation, transport and set-up of catered events to assure customer satisfaction.

9. Perform tasks and duties relevant to any of various roles or responsibilities assigned by supervision and determined by management to be appropriate for this position; comply with all policy, procedure, regulation and other communicated requirements as may be in effect for the workgroup or worksite.
