Job Summary

This position is responsible for first line supervision of Maintenance Technicians who maintain equipment within the production facility. This role assists with establishing methods, controls and standards for the execution of maintenance work.

Job Responsibilities

  • Staff, train, supervise, develop, and evaluate maintenance team members.
  • Maintains equipment to ensure line efficiencies, improve key performance indicators and to eliminate down time.
  • Service and repair equipment on a continual basis, adhering to established preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Promotes a safe work environment for employees by having regular safety meetings to communicate safety awareness and policy; maintains a safe environment by holding employees accountable for their actions.
  • Manages labor and operations within operating expense (OPEX) budget.
  • Maintains an accurate parts inventory.
  • Ensures compliance with good manufacturing practices (GMP) and safety standards.
  • Creates, plans, and executes preventative maintenance programs.
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 2nd Shift

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's or Trade School Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of work experience required.
  • Experience in equipment maintenance required.
  • Supervisory or people management experience required.
  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing environment and high-speed production equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of TPM/PM Pillar Tools including: Break Down Analysis, Predictive Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, Work Order Process, Maintenance Prevention, Corrective Maintenance and Periodic Maintenance preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of LEAN tools such as: 5S, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5 Why’s, Fish Bone, Kaizen and Failure Mode Effect and Analysis (FMEA) preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; knowledge and ability to train on methodologies of Breakdowns, Preventive Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Break Down Analysis, Maintenance Prevention and Periodic Maintenance.
  • Leadership in Six Sigma approach to: Problem-Solving, Root-Cause, Breakdown and Corrective Actions and Corrective Maintenance.
  • Ability to analyze data and apply appropriate corrective action for mechanical failures down to the root cause.
