Reporting to the Director of Compensation Accounting, the Payroll Supervisor is responsible for ensuring accurate reporting and payment of employment taxes and garnishments, timely posting of payroll data to the general ledger and resolving any discrepancies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with processing payroll for the company on a weekly and biweekly basis.
- Enter Oracle HCM payroll adjustments, bonuses, process garnishments, commissions, and various other payments timely.
- Communicate and work to resolve issues involving employee pay.
- Serve as liaison with other departments in the resolution of payroll expense issues.
- Assist the Director with supervising staff including: providing performance feedback, personnel issues, coaching, staff development and training.
- Balance payroll accounts by auditing information; identifying and resolving discrepancies; initiating journal entries.
- Manage quarterly worksite reporting.
- Oversee outstanding check monthly.
- Responsible for making monthly journal entries when necessary.
- Communicate issues, decisions and other related activities to appropriate personnel to ensure communication throughout the company as necessary.
- Upholds the Crawford Code of Business Conduct and Ethics at all times.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance preferred or equivalent in related work experience.
- 4-5 years of payroll and/or accounting experience required with some experience in lead/supervisory role
- Knowledge in Oracle HCM, PeopleSoft GL required. ADP knowledge preferred.
