Position Description:

We are currently seeking a Bilingual Supplier Approval Program Analyst to join the Lakeview Farms Quality Assurance team. The role will serve as a Document Controller and is responsible for ensuring that documentation is systematically maintained and aligned with corporate Quality Assurance Document Control producers, policies, and processes.

Essential Functions:

o Assist R&D in maintaining specifications updated in Genesis.

o Collaborates with the Quality Assurance Managers in conducting Risk assessments and Hazard Analysis for the services, equipment, ingredients, and packaging materials impacting quality and food safety.

o Collaborates with Purchasing & R&D in the collection and initial review of documentation and other requirements of the SAP.

o Assists Quality Assurance Managers during the final review documentation and other requirements during the approval process of the SAP and during evaluation and approval of specifications.

o Assists R&D, Marketing, and Sales departments in maintaining Lakeview Farms’ documentation updated in Customers’ Web portals, Databases, etc.).

Secondary Functions:

o Assists Purchasing in communicating the requirements and expectations for potential suppliers of services, equipment, ingredients, and packaging materials impacting quality and food safety. These expectations and requirements are established in Lakeview Farms’ Supplier Expectation Manual. Communicates the requirements and expectations for potential suppliers of services, equipment, ingredients, and packaging materials impacting quality and food safety to Lakeview Farms’ SAP Cross Functional Team.

o Communicates to suppliers and cross functional areas changes in the SAP (Specifications, requirements, status of approval).

o Maintains and updates an electronic repository of all documentation required by the Supplier Approval Program related to Food safety and Quality.

o Maintains and updates the Approved Supplier List (including related tracking systems for documentation compliance, performance, and foreign suppliers’ approval status).

o Maintains the Company updated in progress and changes related to suppliers including those that fall under Lakeview Farms’ Foreign Supplier Verification Program managed by Azzule Core Team.

o Develops and maintains supplier’s score cards to monitor and evaluate their performance. Monitors supplier’s quality performance, such as product defects, and customers complaints or incidents involving the supplier’s failure to meet food safety and quality requirements.

o Evaluates suppliers’ performance based on compliance to Supplier Expectations Manual, including periodic review of supplier’s documentation, such as certifications, test results, and other records that support the suppliers’ Food Safety and Quality programs.

o Collaborates with suppliers to implement root cause analysis identified and to ensure these are documented, and requests corrective actions evaluating if these have been implemented and are effective and sustainable.

o Engages suppliers in a Continuous Improvement Process to drive efficiencies, savings, and relevant food safety and quality improvements impacting Lakeview Farm’s finished products’ food safety and quality.

o Maintains and updates an electronic repository for documents and certifications related to Lakeview Farms’ RSPO, Organic, Kosher, Non-GMO and other certifications impacting Food Safety and Quality.

o Accepts additional responsibilities as needed in the support of company goals.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, biology or similar degree.

· HACCP, PCQI, SQF certifications preferred.

· Interest in developing a career path in food safety and food quality.

· Equivalent combinations of experience and training that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

· Technical knowledge and good reasoning abilities.

· Demonstrated sound situational judgment and the ability to manage risk.

· Good written and oral communications skills.

· Proficient in computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe, etc)

· Good organization skills with the ability to plan projects/activities with a high energy level.

· Creative problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and an orientation towards innovation.

· Ability to establish credibility with others, as well as be decisive.

Ability to recognize and support the organizations preferences and priorities
