The Materials Management Technician Senior serves as a lead worker for a shift in Central Services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Prioritizes workload and makes adjustments to assignments as necessary, Possesses broad knowledge of Lawson inventory systems in order to serve as a resource for team members, Communicate issues with the IT group during Lawson downtime, Handles receiving and storeroom stocking, Ensures all supplies are stocked in proper bin locations. This role performs core duties as warehouse order processor. This role analyzes demand for storeroom supplies through Lawson data to determine optimal safety stock, inventory levels and ordered quantities utilizing supply base and commodity specific knowledge.

Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: N/A Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment: N/A Experience REQUIRED: Two (2) years of previous medical inventory, receiving, distribution and/or warehousing work experience Previous experience using a personal computer and various software applications Experience PREFERRED Previous lead worker or supervisory work experience Previous work experience with inventory systems Education/training REQUIRED: High School Diploma or equivalent Education/training PREFERRED: Two (2) years of training in logistics Independent action(s) required: Performs core duties as warehouse order processor. Job duties may include the access to and/or contact with medications and related supplies. Supervisory responsibilities (if applicable): Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate activities of par carts and medical supplies. Strong problem solving and ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a hospital environment. Inspects (QA) unit supply carts to assure that the correct supplies are neatly stocked in the correct quantities and that charge labels are attached when necessary. Assists in training new and existing employees by demonstrating correct task functions and reviewing appropriate policies and procedures. Additional position requirements: Must be able to work rotating weekends and nights if applicable.
