REPORTS TO: Tribal Regulatory Agency Surveillance Shift Supervisor & Surveillance Manager

DEFINITION/PURPOSE: Observe Casino operations to ensure requirements of the compact and tribal gaming ordinance internal controls are being observed by Casino operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential functions may include the following tasks, knowledges, skills and other characteristics. This list of tasks is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class.

TASKS:

· Oversees the integrity of the gaming operations;

· Safeguards tribal assets represented by the Casino enterprise;

· Verifies jackpot payments;

· Memorize camera locations associated to the casino floor;

· Oversees opening, inventory and removal of pull-tabs boxes;

· Reviews and investigates customer disputes;

· Investigates Compact violations;

· Makes recommendations and writes follow-up reports;

· Safeguards the integrity of the gaming devices by regular inspections;

· Witnesses entry into gaming machines for maintenance;

· Keeps up to date knowledge of federal, state and tribal ordinances, laws and
regulations governing gaming operations;

· Works varied shifts and days

· Generate concise, thorough reports on investigative events;

· Interacts professionally with employees via radio, telephone and email;

· Prepares investigative reports describing rule infractions, incidents and other non-
routing events;

· Maintains awareness of possible situations which could compromise the safety of
Casino patrons and employees;

· Performs other duties as assigned or required

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

· Knowledge of federal, state and tribal ordinances, laws and regulations governing
gaming operations;

· Knowledge of the regulations governing the rules and conduct of authorized
games;

· Skill in utilizing a computer and related software;

· Skill in oral and written communication;

· Skill in applying provisions of the Gaming Compact;

· Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective and cooperative working
relationships with other departments of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation,
vendors, other interested parties and the public.

· Strong memorization and multitasking skills;

· Fundamental knowledge of casino table games (Blackjack & Poker)

MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

1) High School diploma or GED Certification;

2) Three (3) years of investigative experience in a regulatory agency;

3) Must possess a current Arizona driver’s license and able to meet FMYN insurance
standards.

4) Two year surveillance experience.

5) Gaming Knowledge

PAY RATE: $48,122.79 - $57,747.35 Per Annum (DOE)
