Education
- Associates degree or greater in Land Surveying preferred
Experience
- 5 years’ minimum experience in surveying
- 2-5 years’ experience as a responsible crew chief conducting boundary and construction staking work.
Job Summary
- Provide land surveying services for boundary and topographical surveys, construction layout, UAV surveys, as-built surveys, route surveys, utility transmission and distribution projects.
- Work directly with engineers and survey manager to coordinate work and field crews.
- Compute field data for construction layout and site plans utilizing Civil 3D and/or Trimble Business Center.
- Operate field survey equipment including Trimble TSC7 Collectors, GPS/GNSS Receivers, VRS networks, Robotic Total Stations, Digital levels, and DJI Drones.
- Communicate with client for scheduling and developing deliverables.
- Provide drafting and data processing on an as needed basis.
- Research deeds, easements and right of ways.
Requirements/Skills
- Ability to work independently as a one-man survey crew.
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to use Autodesk Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center.
- Knowledge of the following Trimble survey equipment; GPS/GNSS base and rover units, VRS network rovers, Robotic Total Stations, Dini Digital level, TSC3 data collectors, Trimble Access mobile software, and Trimble Business Center processing software.
- Process and check field data utilizing Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D software or similar.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
