Summary

The Instrument Operator will be involved in all field phases of a typical survey project. The individual will be trained in the operation of the various surveying equipment used on the projects the company is involved with.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Operation and maintenance issues related to GPS equipment
  • Operations and maintenance issues related to robotic total station with data collection equipment
  • Operation and maintenance issues related to optical and digital levels (often related to laser scanning equipment)
  • Assist with field notes, sketches, and field calculations
  • Assist the Survey Crew Chief as necessary
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Attend company required training including OSHA and client specific training.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
