We are looking for someone who is not only excited to learn and advance their sushi knowledge and skill; we need someone who can be warm and engaging to guests

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:

• Prep, set up and stock station with all necessary food, garnish and utensils
• Breakdown and reset station for next service, setting up the next shift for success
• Execute orders for guest and ensure that food is executed with highest quality of both taste and appearance
• Maintain a clean up station and line throughout shift making sure it’s presentable to guests
• Comply with nutrition, sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
• Work with chef to create daily and seasonal features
• Engage with guests when they have questions

QUALITIES & EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 2 years proven experience in sushi line work or 2 years experience in elevated cooking environments
• Experience with butchering fresh fish
• Knowledge of sushi preparation, asian ingredients and Japanese cooking methods
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Ability to read tickets and execute any modifications requested
• Familiar with industry’s best practices to include proper cooking and holding temperatures, sanitation procedures and safety protocols
• Understanding and ability to reduce or increase recipe measurements

• Food Handlers Card
• Title IV Liquor Certification (FOH & Management)
