We offer a flexible schedule (out before 8:30 pm) that’s consistent week to week and fully paid training, immediately starting at $16-20 per hour. We’re looking for someone who fits our core values - you don’t have to have experience with swimming or as a lifeguard, you just need a passion for helping others and a fin-tastic personality.

What will you be doing?
Swim Instructors are responsible for ensuring the success of swim lessons by:

• Making sure you and your team are set up for success at every lesson by preparing your class materials and reviewing your lesson themes
• Teaching 4 swimmers per class by going through a well-established and proven curriculum of water safety, swim and swimplay skills (6 swimmers in our infant, parent-and-me style lessons)
• Communicating progress and celebrating accomplishments with parents at the end of class
• Lifeguarding and supervising lessons as needed

You’ll guide new swimmers through their first days at Goldfish and be there to support them as they progress from mini and junior swimmers to gliders and pros!

What will be expected of you?

• You have to be patient & genuine - every swimmer learns at their own pace, in their own way. Your willingness to help each student as an individual and your ability to bring your own personality to the lessons you teach are key to the success of both you and your students.
• The ability to do quality work and represent Goldfish Swim School’s mission to change lives and make a difference every day
• Going above and beyond with every detail, meeting and exceeding expectations to create a golden experience
• Doing the right things, making the right decisions and treating people with integrity, compassion and trust
• Availability of one weekday evening (until 8:30 pm) and/or one weekend (Saturday or Sunday) shift per workweek
• Ability to work the same scheduled days every week

Your success will be measured by your ability to fulfill the tasks we mentioned earlier while maintaining the standards mentioned above. Ultimately, a successful school is able to continue growing by adding more students to our lessons, teaching them the fin-tastic (and life-saving) skill of swimming. Our pools are disinfected by a Nexgen chlorination system and additionally filtrated through a UV system to provide the safest swimming environment. Our state-of-the-art ventilation system allows fresh air to continuously circulate into our building, further minimizing the spread of any airborne virus. Industry experts note that indoor pools and pool operator are far superior at minimizing virus transmission than most indoor spaces.
