JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the General Manager, the System Administrator’s role is
to ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer software systems and network
connections. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting,
and optimizing all network software and communication links. The System Administrator will
also analyze and resolve end user software program and connectivity issues in a timely and
accurate fashion and provide end user training where required. Friendly, professional attitude
always required. Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Neat clean
appearance is necessary.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience with server-based programs.
- Casino/slot operations experience preferred.
- Two (2) years computer software/programming degree preferred.
- General software and computer equipment analysis.
- Advanced hardware and software trouble shooting and computer networking.
- Ability to deal effectively with all staff members exercising tact, diplomacy, and patience
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and employee relation skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask.
- Maintain an elevated level of confidentiality.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must adhere to Legendary Waters Resort & Casino’s policies and procedures.
- Must adhere to all appearance and uniform standards.
- Maintains user accounts including appropriate permissions.
- Ensures accurate and regular updating of databases.
- Maintains a thorough working knowledge of all applications on the network operating
- Enforces standards of security, system integrity and confidentiality within the
- Maintains broad knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, equipment and/or systems.
- Devises, develops, and implements disaster recovery and archiving procedures.
- Server hardware maintenance and upgrades.
- Document new system implementations, server settings, installed software and account
- Maintain, document, and inventory all software.
- Compiles system/network gaming standards.
- Perform a weekly full tape backup.
- Must be able to lift to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
