With our continued growth, we are looking to add a motivated and hardworking Upholsterer Tacker to our Oconto, WI location.

This is a Monday-Thursday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be overtime as needed.

Summary:

Upholstery of all pieces to be put in boats. Needs to be quality conscious, and able to hold high standards of consistency from piece to piece.

Main Responsibilities:

· Bring together all pieces from sewing/cutting areas. Gather all pieces of fabric, foaming, wood to build by model and piece for upholstery.

· Inspect all pieces to ensure all are ready for upholstery.

· Must know correct procedures for attaching all materials from gluing to stapling, making correct pulls, consistent exacting pieces from boat to boat, piece by piece, so that aesthetics remain.

· Inspects, all finished pieces, sort, bag and put in correct place and order for installation in boats.

· Works to assigned production schedules.

· Assists in Training of Upholsterers.

· Works from oral instructions, shop orders, diagrams, etc.

· Maintains records as required.

· Perform manual work having to do with the handling of materials.

· Keeps work areas, equipment, machines, etc., clean and orderly.

· Works safely at all times and complies with safety regulations regarding the use of protective clothing, equipment and devices.

· Performs other miscellaneous job duties as assigned.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Skills in attention to detail and accuracy

· Strong technical / mechanical aptitude

· Ability to interpret drawings/patterns and draw conclusions

· Ability to work in a fast paced environment

· Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks

· Self-motivated, takes initiative

· Dedicated to meeting expectations and requirements of internal and external customers

Education and Experience:

· On the job training provided

· Prior experience working in Upholstery preferred

· Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment helpful.

· Physical Requirements:

· Bending, twisting and reaching to get to difficult areas.

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times

· Able to perform repetitive motions.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
