Summary:
The Corporate Tax Analyst’s primary responsibilities is to ensure compliance with Indirect Taxes, Business Incentives’ reporting and assisting with the collection of data and documentation in support of the Research and Development credits.
Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Assist with preparing the US Federal and State income tax returns
  • Prepare Sales and Use tax returns
  • Collect and prepare Sales Tax Exemption Certificates
  • Prepare Commercial tax returns
  • Review Real and Personal Property Tax bills, and process for payment
  • Prepare property and sales tax accruals, and periodically review and adjust as needed
  • Preparation of annual property and sales tax budgets for the operating entities
  • Maintain database of dues dates for property taxes, sales and use, and other tasks
  • Research all Indirect tax issues and ensure timely resolution
  • Investigate opportunities for tax incentives and abatements
  • Collect, maintain, and timely comply with reporting requirements of tax and business incentives
  • Help collect and maintain the R&D tax credit supporting documentation
  • Research tax planning opportunities
  • Assist with other miscellaneous tax projects as assigned
  • Assist with year-end provision under ASC740.
Supervisory Responsibilities
None
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Accounting or Finance.
  • Two (2) years minimum of federal, state and sales and use tax experience
  • One (1) year minimum of property tax experience
  • Manufacturing background in a multi-state market a plus.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to respond to, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines while maintaining the highest of standards of completeness and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Problem solving skills (critical thinking, creativity, innovation) with the ability to work cross-functionally at all levels.
  • Highly organized and diligent
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Excel, tax preparation, tax provision, tax research and fixed asset software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
An Accounting or Finance Certification is plus (CMA, CPA, CTP, etc.)
