Salary: $50K-$57K (Plus Shift Differential)

Full Time, Onsite in Williamstown VT

Schedule: 2 pm-Midnight (either Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday)

Position Overview:

This position provides compassionate, trauma-informed care and support to individuals living with a variety of co-occurring mental health disorders in a strengths-based, community recovery setting. This position is responsible for proactively and positively supporting forward movement in the organization’s commitment to our mission, recovery principles, provision of trauma-informed care, cultural competence and building a learning culture

Responsibilities: (Include but are not limited to)

  • Supporting and expecting staff adherence to job descriptions
  • Ensuring competent completion of all required documentation
  • Ensuring staff levels adequate to safety and compliance requirements
  • Leading floor team consistent with training
  • Ensuring resident needs and commitments are met (e.g., transport, meals, medication passes, treatment plan action steps, etc.)
  • Updating staff schedule and assignments as needed.
  • Quickly and accurately assessing if risk posed by resident to self or others, and leading interventions as needed. Uses on-call system as needed.
  • Use compassion and kindness to build relationships with residents and fellow staff
  • Set appropriate professional and personal boundaries to care for others and yourself
  • Model “recovery mindset” with residents treating them as equal partners with their recovery and not as sick, helpless, or bad needing your expertise for “them”
  • Assist residents with daily needs including medication, transportation to appointments and events, nutrition, and personal care assistance
  • Housekeeping
  • Supporting residents following CSC rules and expectations
  • Participate in continuous learning opportunities
  • Actively participate in supervision and staff meetings
  • Complete administrative tasks including maintaining timecard, submitting EHR notes and incidents, etc.
  • Be up to date with assigned trainings (Relias, CPR, NAPPI, etc.)

Environmental Factors:

Duties are performed in a variety of settings (i.e., community, residence, CSC). There is direct interaction with mentally ill adults and/or individuals with substance abuse issues who are experiencing a significant mental health crisis. Private means of transportation, a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance is required. Interaction with clients poses some risk of physical injury or property damage. An incumbent may encounter situations that may elicit high levels of stress. Crisis situations can occur at any time. Evening, overnight or weekend work may be required.
