Job Description: Technical Architect:

JOB PURPOSE:

The Technical Architect provides overall technical guidance based on a broad understanding of the business needs, current solutions, technology strategies, IT standards, and security requirements. Works collaboratively to define solutions aligned across the architecture disciplines and governs their development. Develops strategies, roadmaps, principles, standards, and best practices. This position acts as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, innovator, and change agent.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

· Creates multi-year IT architecture strategy and roadmap that is in line with the overall business strategy

· Provides leadership while working collaboratively to document technical needs

· Creates current and future state technology diagrams that effectively align stakeholders and ensure that solutions are aligned across architecture disciplines

· Governs development of solutions

· Develops standards, templates, and best practices

· Maintains catalogs of key IT assets

· Performs architectural assessments independently

· Works on multiple initiatives simultaneously

· Encourages team interaction, boosts employee motivation and appreciates team contribution

REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred

· 5+ years in an IT technical engineering role

· Exposure to technology strategies and roadmaps

· Exposure to architectural standardization and governance processes

· Experience with software development methodologies (i.e., Agile, Waterfall)

· Experience with diverse technologies. Preferred (Cloud/SaaS/On-premise, VMware, Infor M3, JDE, .Net, iSeries AS400, Informatica, Tableau, Cognos, SQL Server, …)

· Solid abilities using PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio

· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively

· Experience in one or more of the following is a plus: Manufacturing, Food and Beverage, Livestock, Energy

· Known reputation for integrity and ethics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Shawnee, KS: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
