Job Summary: Endeavor Business Media is seeking a Technical Editor with a diverse skill set and an Engineering background and/or relevant experience to join our Team! In this role you will provide technical writing and expertise for the Machine Design audience online and in print. Consistently deliver innovative and insightful content on the technology trends and applications found in modern manufacturing, such as robotics, 3D printing, automation and medical design.

Primary Objectives: The successful candidate will combine a strong technical background, with an understanding of modern content strategies and the ability to effectively communicate those concepts across a variety of content platforms (print, web, video, etc.). The Design & Engineering Group has worked to create an open and collaborative atmosphere. All brands meet to share ideas, best practices and content applicable to engineering audiences. Within the Machine Design team, we work closely together to ensure the content team understands our goals and works each day to exceed them.

Responsibilities:

• Develop content sources
• Suggest areas of coverage and provide expertise in shaping the overall digital content for Machine Design in line with the brand vision provided by the Editor-in-Chief
• Excellent grasp of industry trends and key leaders within the industry
• The ability to effectively represent our specific brands and Endeavor Business Media in industry-facing opportunities
• An interest in the continuing growth of our brands while also advancing in career goals
• Content Development
• Content Editing and rewrite
• Attend Industry Events in person or virtually
• Assist with special projects for both content and marketing

Education & Experience:

• 5 years of experience in B2B publishing with demonstrable success in developing industry sources
• Engineering Background preferred with knowledge and expertise in machine design
• A consistent track record of content development
• Experience in digital content creation, including videos and social media
• Familiarity with SEO best practices encouraged, not required
• Experience with modern digital equipment and software platforms
• Familiarity with video platforms
• Comfort in appearing on camera or on a video recording as required
• Ideally with a degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience required

As a company we have embraced the emerging pay transparency laws. The pay range for this position is $60,000-80,000/yr.
