Teltek is a 24-year-old Maryland-based, 2nd generation, Veteran-owned technology services company that provides a wide range of voice, data and security services to small to mid-sized business, nonprofits and government agencies. We are looking to add another dedicated customer service-centric technology aficionado to join our dedicated team. Qualifications/Responsibilities:

• Basic Technology Installation Experience needed (Primary Telecom; Networking and Security)
• Some formalized technology training/education/certification(s) or equivalent on the job experience (Microsoft Network+ and A+, MCSE/MCP, CCNA, etc.)
• Business Phone Systems: configuring, deploying, troubleshooting and training (typically MetaSwitch UCaS VOIP, MS Teams, Avaya IP Office and NEC PBX)
• Installing, configuring and managing Wide & Local Area Networks (Typically Cisco Meraki and Ubiquiti)

· Ability to demonstrate the ability to support a wide variety of technologies across various business segments

· Telephone/Internet Service Provider deployments and troubleshooting (telephone installer)

· Troubleshooting/installing IP-based security cameras and access control systems

· Active Directory and DNS administration

· Troubleshooting/administration/deployment of Windows/Apple desktop and server operating systems

· Troubleshooting/administration/deployment of Microsoft 365 and other MS applications

· Monitoring and managing data backups and disaster recovery devices

· Assisting sales team with site surveys and solution designs

· Various cloud technology migrations, administration and support

· Provide onsite and remote end-user/administrative training on various phone systems, Microsoft and cloud-based technologies

· Can-do, positive attitude

· Willingness to take whatever initiative necessary to service customer needs efficiently

· Strong, effective communication and interpersonal skills a must!

· Excellent follow-up and follow-through skills

· Team player

· Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, follow through and documentation skills

· Ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision

· Motivated, hardworking and an independent self-starter

· Proficiency in verbal and written English

· Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; clean background check

· Ability to lift up to 50lbs independently

. Must be willing to travel to client sites in and around the DMV on a daily basis (company car provided) as well as occasionally out of state

. Must be capable and comfortable using a ladder and the tools required for the installation of cabling and technology systems independently

. Some light handyman/construction and/or other trade experience is desired

. Installation of network and fiber optic cabling

. This will predominately be a field position, but some office/helpdesk time will be required

. Exceptional communication and customer service skills required

. Bi-lingual in Spanish is a huge plus

. Must enjoy the inconstancies of installing and troubleshooting a diverse product set of technologies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
