About the Position

This is an incredible work opportunity for a private practice-based physician passionate about helping patients seek medical weight loss / chronic care management and primary care conditions through telemedicine. We are building a team of medical professionals to care for patients in all 50 states and provide a best-in-class patient experience. This role is for a clinical professional who delivers medical care using multi-telemed modalities, including video, phone, and asynchronous messages (chat/email). Super Flex specifics: - Pick any time you want to work between 7a-7p local standard time, Mon-Fri. - Work increments of 1-5 hours/day, up to 10 hours a week. - Guarantee paid hours! - Schedule required 15-30 days in advance. - Must be office based, preferably your own practice or small practice group. Physicians are members of an interdisciplinary care team working as independent contractors with OpenLoop. They work independently and are responsible for diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making within the industry, locally established standards of care, clinical practice guidelines and organizational policies and procedures. The scope of medical decision-making focuses on common conditions that would present within an episodic, acute or primary care medical practice.

Responsibilities

- Obtains histories, conducts virtual exams, documents findings, evaluates and diagnoses medical and behavioral health conditions, recommends treatment plans, constructs care plans, enlists support from other team members and promotes peace of mind by investing in patient confidence - Delivers high-priority patient care targeting a range of common chronic conditions - Demonstrates flexibility by adapting to change processes and practice in an evolving, ambiguous environment - Communicates effectively with other providers, including using comprehensive charting and messaging - Delivers patient care that balances the best that medical science has to offer with patient preferences, values and future confidence - Provide feedback about opportunities to improve the quality of care and operational processes

Requirements

- MUST currently work and see patients in a physical medical office - Board-certified physician (MD or DO) from a US-accredited medical school - Board-certified in family medicine, internal medicine or emergency medicine - Must possess an active, non-restrictive medical license to practice in North Carolina - MUST have an active, current DEA license - A minimum of two years experience as a practicing physician required - Must have no history of malpractice - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Strong problem-solving, project management and organization skills - Outstanding clinical expertise, evidence-based practice - Competent in providing patient education at every visit - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Above-average comfort with technology and assisting patients with troubleshooting technical difficulties that may occur in the home environment - Timely and professional - Telemedicine or virtual care experience is a plus - Fluency in Spanish (both written and spoken) is a plus!
