Control Center Helper/Courier

Full-Time, Non-Benefits Eligible
Essential functions of the Temporary Control Center Helper/Courier includes, and may not be limited to the following:
- Responsible for driving assigned route; may drive delivery truck.
- Periodically assists with furniture moves and custodial supplies between warehouse and school locations.
- Loads and unloads mail and other materials onto courier truck or van, sorting and repacking materials as needed.
- Evaluates maintenance work order requests from departments and schools and assigns to the appropriate trades/craft team leader or Facilities Department
- Makes special or emergency deliveries and pickups as requested
- Ensures that items being transported are safe from damage
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Any combination of education experience equivalent to completion of high school and some related experience. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Satisfactory health condition as certified by competent medical authority. Possession of a valid appropriate driver's permit issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Hours: minimum of 30 hours per week - 40 hours preferred
Assignment Duration: 11/15/2022 - 12/5/2022
