Summary

Manage daily operations of the QS warehouse including efficiencies, inbound and outbound transportation
and vendor management. Schedule, track and monitor material movements, including returns from the
plant to vendors and customers. Assist management with overall logistics department priorities including
special projects and reporting.

1st Shift Operation Otay Mesa (QS) Warehouse Monday-Friday (6:00am-2:00pm) or

2nd Shift Operation Otay Mesa (QS) Warehouse Monday-Friday (1:00pm-9:00pm)

Compensation Range

$24.00/Hour

Responsibilities

• Primary
  • Manage QS warehouse issues and performance and escalate performance issues as necessary
    
    • Collaborate with departments to import material in a timely manner to avoid delays in production
    • Allocate carrier transportation for material inbound and outbound shipments
    • Schedule pick ups for material required to be returned to the vendor
    • Resolve material and document issues that could delay returns or importation
    • Provide updates to import, procurement and warehouse for all QS shipments
    • Schedule and monitor return shipments from all plant to the QS warehouse
    • Schedule and monitor border crossing movements from QS warehouse
    • Track and provide reporting for the status of all shipments pertaining to QS warehouse
    • Coordinate with carriers to ensure delivery is instructed accurately and the trailers are delivered within our procedures and
    expected delivery timeline
• Secondary
  • Perform internal functions to assist team and other departments in order to combat discrepancies and fulfill customer needs,
    including POD auditing, profit and loss reporting, damage reporting, unit availability, and transit/carrier availability
  • Create delivery reports & monitor accessorial charges
  • Assign equipment according to import/export needs to maximize usage of equipment

Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Proficient PC skills - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, database management systems
• Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred but not Required

Education & Experience

• Bachelors Degree Required
• Three (3) Years of Direct or Indirect Experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
• Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
• Stand/walk
