Temporary Laborer (Healy) Job at Golden Valley Electric Association
Golden Valley Electric Association (GVEA) is looking to hire a Temporary Laborer at our Coal Power Plants located in Healy, AK. This is an IBEW position that earns a competitive wage.
GVEA is an electric cooperative which maintains 3,261 miles of transmission and distribution lines, 35 substations, and 9 generating facilities. Our system is interconnected with Fort Wainwright, Eielson AFB, Fort Greely, the University of Alaska-Fairbanks, and all of the electric utilities in the Alaska Railbelt, extending from Homer to Fairbanks. Powering the Interior of Alaska, GVEA contributes to the economic, environmental, and social viability of our communities.

The Temporary Laborer is responsible for the daily cleaning of coal power station and shop equipment. The Temporary Laborers keep the shop and equipment clean and organized and complete regular major cleaning to the coal station. Our Temporary Laborers play an important role in GVEA's ability to serve the Healy community and the Interior of Alaska in providing reliable electric service at fair and reasonable prices!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN TEMPORARY LABORER
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in basic operation of janitorial equipment.
Previous work experience in a technical field would be preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Do you have industrial experience? Can you work independently? Are you dependable and trustworthy? If so, you might just be perfect for this Temporary Laborer position!
