Terminal Manager - Iuka, MS Job at Ferrous Metal Transfer
FERROUS METAL TRANSFER TERMINAL MANAGER-FSOUTH
RESPONSIBLITIES:
*Manage a safe, DOT compliant, profitable trucking operation at Ferrousouth
*Communicate with Ferragon corporate to ensure corporate goals are met and continuously improve the FMT operation
*Work with Ferrousouth and their customers to haul loads to satisfy everyone needs
*Continue to grow the fleet thru company drivers, FMT Logistics, owner operators to handle at least 75% of the freight processed at Ferrousouth(30-40)
*Hire, oversee training and retain company drivers and strive for 100% 1st year retention bonus: recruit, interview, hire, train, and retain DOT compliant drivers `
*Continuously reduce deadhead miles by searching for return loads
*Manage and give FMT dispatcher all loads acquired and required to meet
Ferrousouth and their customers needs
*Verify corporate priority scheduling of customers hauling is being followed
1. Kane & MK – slit eye to the sky coils under 200 mile radius from the plant.
2. Kane & MK – slit eye to the sky coils over 200 mile radius from the plant
3. Kane & MK – all other
4. Omega / SS / L&P
5. All Others *
* Make sure all loads are on a customer release and ready for shipment
*Maintain trucking supplies required to safely operate FMT truck fleet and input in workplace as needed.
*Work with Ryder to monitor maintenance schedules and repairs
*Monitor, report Rydesmart and dashcam reports and take action as needed to increase the safety compliance of the FMT fleet
*To manage and ensure that Prophesy is being used as intended to make
FMT/Ferragon a paperless company
*Establish and maintain Ferrousouth and FMT customer relationships to increase processing and hauling
*Monitor and advise corporate of any and all freight rate intelligence and increase when warranted
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
