We are currently seeking a Testing Engineering Advisor to join our team in Halifax, Nova Scotia (CA-NS), Canada (CA).
Job Description:
- Demonstrable experience of running a Defect Management Function and Mgmt reporting
- ALM / QC management experience
- Drive defect meetings, defects to fixes
- Project reports for management visibility of testing status
- Proven experience of devising, implementing and assuring Defect Management strategies at Project level.
- Experience of collaborative working with experts in functional, non-functional and test automation disciplines.
- Broad stakeholder management experience including external clients and Director level interactions across a range of Business and IT functions.
- Managing, operating and delivering Quality Assurance across the full SDLC.
- Must have :QA Testing Automation
Exp: 8+yrs
What We're Looking For...
- Minimum 8+ years of Software QA Engineering experience in delivering software testing projects
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance life cycle, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with ALM and JIRA for defect management
- Agile work experience with scrum / sprints management skills
- Ability to react quickly in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and verbal.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Strong planning, organizational skills, and attention to detail with a focus on attaining high-quality deliverables
- Strong team player and ability to collaborate effectively with project team members across onsite and offshore teams
- Ability to lead, mentor and set the direction for other QA engineers
- Ability to take full ownership of assigned responsibilities, and appropriately prioritize
