JOB DESCRIPTION
SEASONAL/TEMPORARY
This position will process ticket orders and provide event information for Mabee Center and other metro area events to customers in person and over the telephone.
Hours of Work & Attendance
The Mabee Center Ticketing position will work during ticket office hours as well as during events, concerts and basketball games. Must be available days, nights and weekends.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist customers at the window and over the phone with information and ticket sales. Ask all pertinent questions to ensure appropriate seating and pricing.
- Process all ticket orders using cash or credit cards.
- Balance cash or phone order drawer. Investigate problems regarding any deficiencies that may have occurred.
- File phone and mail orders. Maintain clean office area and ensure a full stock of tickets.
- Perform nightly procedures at close of day.
- Update information books, marquee, put up posters in lobby, and distribute flyers to ticket windows.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
Requires a High School diploma or GED.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Requires a High School Diploma or GED and previous cashier/customer service experience.
- Must have experience with point of sale systems and computers.
- Proven ability to handle high customer/client with routine and varied tasks.
- Good verbal, reading, problem solving, mathematical, customer service & interpersonal skills a must.
- Must maintain a high level of confidentiality of information at all times.
