Tile Setter/Countertop Fabricator Job at Quality Kitchen Renovations
Quality Kitchen Renovations is a family-owned company who’s been in business since 2014. We are looking for a competent residential tile setter with experience prepping and installing ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone tile on floors, backsplash and showers. There is also the opportunity to fabricate large format granite, quartz, marble, and quartzite custom countertops.
This person must work with extreme attention to detail and meet rigorous quality standards. This is a high stress environment with little room for error.
Responsibilities
- Install and prep substrate, including waterproofing and uncoupling membranes
- Layout, install and grout custom floors, backsplash and showers
- Stone slab countertop fabrication (granite, quartz, marble, etc)
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, lift and pull heavy objects
- Drive a truck and trailer to and from job sites
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
REQUIRED Skills
- Read and interpret dimensioned drawings and templates
- Ability to read a tape measure, speed square, framing square and level
- Fully competent with pneumatic and electric polishers, grinders, rail saws, wet tile saws, polishing pads, drums, wheels, coring bits etc.
- Must have an extreme eye for detail
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License
- 2+ years' residential remodel experience setting tile
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
