TRAFFIC COORDINATOR (ENTRY LEVEL) Job at Olympic Steel
The Traffic Coordinator is responsible for supporting/coordinating activities related to the traffic process, such as pre-notification of inbound material, input of receiving from outside vendors and maintaining an overview of the flow of trucks in and out of the facility. Ensures that schedules for all trucking requirements needed to fulfill internal and external customer requirements and provide on-time delivery are followed. Helps ensure trucks are loaded and unloaded in a timely manner. Responsible for implementing the dispatch schedule and coordination of fleet of trucks for delivery and receiving material.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-3 years experience in related field preferred
- 1+ years experience in truck dispatch preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills required
- Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking skills, and strong decision-making capabilities required
- Proven teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently
- High level of creativity and problem-solving skills
