Per Diem. AM/PM Shifts. Must be able to work Weekends. ESSENTIAL DUTIES -Obtain patient census list and place Emergency Room admit patients on Inpatient alternator by 7:00 AM. -Prepare radiographic film for hanging on alternator viewer and removal of films from viewers as needed. -Able to obtain film jackets from the film room and prepare them for interpretation by a Radiologist. -Have a thorough knowledge of hospital and Radiology computer systems in order to produce requests. -Pull the X-ray folder for next-day cases. -Maintain patient log and written records -Take outpatient and emergency room patients to their dressing room as indicated. -Transports patients to the treatment unit using wheelchairs and gurneys, or assists them to walk. -Care for the personal need and comfort of the patient. -Responsible for notifying the department concerned in the event that a patient cannot be transported or when transported or when transport must be rescheduled. Other Duties -Assists Nursing Services in providing patient care related to transportation functions. -Reports any transportation equipment, requiring maintenance repair, to the Manager. -Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Manager, Supervisor, or Team Leader. Additional Service-Specific Requirements Diagnostic Imaging =Verifies doctor's order on outpatient requests and provides information on Radiology and Imaging procedures. =Responsible for processing paperwork/receiving requests, logging patients. -Issues new folder/follows through by distributing paperwork and folder to appropriate area.

Required Qualification: **License/Certification Current BLS required Completion of a training program in orderly/nurse aide responsibilities preferred. *Proof of all required licenses and certifications is due at time of hire. **Education High school graduate or equivalent preferred **Proof of all required educational levels is due at time of hire. Experience -Minimum one-year hospital experience, preferred. Skills -Demonstrates verbal ability to communicate with patients and coworkers and understand written and verbal instructions from Supervisor. Additional Service-Specific Physical Requirements Critical Care Service -Must utilize conversational speech for effective verbal communication. -Noise level is high in some patient care areas. Must be able to hear equipment alarms, overhead pages, and direct verbal communication. -Must utilize conversational speech for effective verbal communication. Hazards -Will have close contact with patients and is likely to come in contact with blood and body fluids. -Often exposed to infection. Will be fit tested for the particulate respirator. -Occasional exposure to radiation (X-Ray). Additional Service-Specific Physical Requirements Critical Care Services -Works with electrical equipment. Emergency Services -Works with electrical equipment.
