Busy Level II Trauma facility in Louisiana is seeking an Interim Director to oversee its day to day operations in the Sterile Processing Department. This is a Non-Profit facility with an average of 800+ cases/month. Cases include ortho, heart, vascular, ENT, OBGYN and General. Average caseload is 8,000 - 9,500 cases annually. Must have 3+ years of experience as a Sterile Tech, AND 2+ years of leadership experience. The SPD Director reports to the Surgical Services Director. This person assumes 24/7 responsibility for the dept. and oversees all employees and day to day activities in the dept. Also participates in continuous quality improvement programs and utilizes all equipment, supplies, and resources in a prudent and efficient manner. The Manager provides quality training and orientation for assigned employees, strives to promote personal performance quality by participating in staff educational programs, and monitors work quality and quantity in an effort to promote departmental efficiency. Evaluates and delivers performance evaluations and provides feedback to employees to ensure adequate communication and understanding within the department. Inquire within today!
