Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Clinical Officer, the chosen Director of Nursing (DON) will be responsible for providing nursing leadership on an interim, transitional and support basis for multiple care centers throughout Texas. The selected DON will provide onsite nursing leadership, ensuring proper maintenance of equipment, process management and cleanliness of work areas as well as compliance with all State, Federal and company quality assurance measures. The DON will monitor resident activity, delineating compliance and understanding of all rules and regulations associated with residents’ rights. Additionally, the DON will monitor employee accountability, relations, staffing and training, consistently maintaining a positive work environment as well as adherence to company policies, procedures and best practices. Must have current TX RN license, BLS, strong process management and communication skills. 2+ years of progressive nursing leadership experience in long term care, skilled nursing or a rehab environment is strongly preferred. 90% intrastate travel and Texas residency mandatory.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and currently licensed by the State
  • Demonstrated ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual
  • Capable of maintaining regular attendance and to work evenings and weekends as necessary
  • Ability to delegate assignments to the appropriate individuals based on their skills, roles and interests
  • Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family members and staff
  • Must meet all health requirements and pass background checks
  • Current DON and/or 2+ years of nursing leadership experience, preferably in Long Term Care or Skilled Nursing
  • BLS
