Traveling Sterile Processing Supervisor (Evenings) needed in Rochester, NY Job at NurseStar Medical Partners
Coordinates with the OR schedule and assures effective utilization of surgical instruments. The SPD Supervisor participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures and standard of care.
Start Date: Ideal candidate can start as early as 02/20/2023. Will take candidates that can start before or after
Schedule: Evenings / 3P-11:30P / 40 hours a week
REQUIREMENTS
- Sterile Processing Certification Required
- AA Degree or combination of education and experience with demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform duties required of a senior level assistant
- Knowledge in Instrument Tracking Systems
- Knowledge of specific health care products, patient care equipment and basic use is required.
- Must hold comprehensive knowledge in inventory control, supply distribution, receiving, reprocessing techniques and principles, production management and regulating agencies standards.
- Must hold comprehensive knowledge and experience in surgical instrumentation, microbiology as it relates to SPD and OR, cleaning procedures, disinfection, sterilization, and the care, handling, disassembly and assembly of hospital equipment and surgical instruments.
- A good knowledge of medical terminology, including surgical procedures, human anatomy and of current and developing trends in area of professional expertise is required.
- Must have a good working knowledge of computer technology and software programs including work processing spreadsheets, and power point applications.
