Truck Driver Class A CDL Job at Crystal Steel Fabricators, Inc.
Crystal Steel Fabricators, Inc., a leading steel fabricator, is looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our Memphis-area locations in a safe and timely manner. Overnight trips may be necessary depending on location of job sites. Applicant must have a valid Class A CDL.
Responsibilities
- Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from shops and job sites.
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues.
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures.
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions.
- Report defects, accidents or violations.
Skills
- Proven work as a commercial truck driver with flatbed trailer experience
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations (records will be checked)
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
- Physically able to bend, kneel, stoop and be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Valid CDL A license
