Currently, Seattle-Tacoma Box Company conducts manufacturing and supports assembly operations and warehouses in Alaska, Oregon, and Washington. Seattle-Tacoma Box Company is the parent company of SeaCa Packaging, Inc. operating in Dinuba and Stockton, CA, SeaCa Plastic Packaging, LLC operating in Surprise, AZ, and our most recent addition to the family, Harvest House Packaging, LLC operating in Holtville, CA.

The company collectively specialize in the manufacturing and distribution of corrugated, corrugated plastic and wooden packaging used throughout the food industry. Washington, Alaska, Oregon, California, and Arizona. SeaCa Plastic Packaging, LLC is an industry pioneer in the production of plastic corrugated products used throughout the food industry.

The Surprise, AZ location of SeaCa Plastic Packaging, LLC is adding to their current fleet of delivery trucks and is looking to hire an experienced OTR Truck Drivers to add to our team. The OTR Truck Drivers provide support to the Trucking department by ensuring prompt, safe and accurate product delivery to the customer in various locations throughout the western United States.

Must possess valid CDL.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening in accordance with DOT regulations.

General Description:

Responsible for safely delivering finished products to customer. Following all federal, state and local laws and ordinances. Perform routine tractor and trailer checks ensuring the safety of equipment, self and the general motoring public.

Responsibilities:

• Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Strap and tarp loads as needed
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures

• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations

Skills:

• Proven work experience as a truck driver
• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, ELD, CB etc)
• Ability to professionally maximize the number of miles driven per day in accordance with FMCSA regulations
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
• Valid truck driving license

Work Experience Preferred:

• Two or more years OTR Truck Driver experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and employee relation skills

• Well organized with high attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment

Education and Experience:·

• High school diploma or GED
• Firm understanding of federal, state and local laws related to truck driving and record keeping

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting while driving
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to climb up and down and manually tarp and strap loads
