The Construction Manager is responsible for directing in-house crews and subcontractors in day-to-day activities to drive successful project outcomes. This position is for our electrical utility construction division in Miami, FL. This position supports the Project Management/Operations team in scheduling, financial analysis, and working directly with customer field representatives and stakeholders to provide status updates. Accountable for execution of projects from start to finish including project scheduling, enforcing Ferreira’s Safety Principles, management of build and closeout activities.

Job Description:

• Layout, assembles, and installs underground pipe systems of various shapes and sizes.
• Ensures proper placement, connections, and alignment according to project specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assembles pipes, tubes, and fittings according to specifications
• Cuts pipes to specifications using hand tools and power tools

• Measures and marks pipes for cutting

• Provide immediate and accurate communication to the Foreman

• Enforce OSHA safety standards at all times

Job Essentials:

• Must be able to lift and move work related items up to 50 pounds

• Must be able to push, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at waist, raise and hold arms overhead, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed

• Must be able to stand, squat and kneel on hard surfaces

• Must be able to grasp and hold tools and other items with hands

Job Skills, Knowledge, Training and Experience:

• Sound knowledge of various types of construction equipment and construction procedures

• Knowledge of underground structure construction techniques

• Ability to inspect and evaluate the quality of materials

• Ability to identify and resolve problems

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines

• Self-motivated

Required license or certification:

• Valid driver's license, CDL
