Unit Manager

The GrayBrier Nursing & Rehab Center in Archdale is seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager for our 128-bed facility. This position will provide clinical and organizational leadership and support to our Director of Nursing and nursing team. Candidates should have at least three years of experience in long-term care with at least one year of supervisory experience, be compassionate and caring, prioritize multiple duties, work flexible hours, and motivate and educate staff.
Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinates clinical services for residents in the nursing facility
• Assists with and conducts staff training
• Facilitates care plan meetings and assists with concern resolution
• Assists with maintaining regulatory compliance
• Evaluates and coordinates care delivery system; recommends improvements as needed.
• Ensures communication with residents, family members, and resident representatives regarding resident care and resident updates.
• Implements and evaluates all nursing procedures and systems on the units
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations
• Ensures continuity of care and discharge planning by coordinating the transmission of needed information and by attending discharge planning and care plan meetings
• Communicates with the Admissions Coordinator to input new admissions into the system and assists in the discharge process
• Will perform general nursing duties in cases of emergency to ensure proper staffing coverage
• All other duties as assigned
